Biography

In 2009, Pit Gottschalk became "Head of CEO's Newspaper Office" at Axel Springer, Europe's biggest newspaper company. Before that he was Chief Editor for Sport-Bild magazine in Hamburg (approx. 4 million readership) for six years. Gottschalk joined Sport-Bild in 1994 as Reporter and quickly rose to Chief Reporter. In 1998, he joined Die Welt & Welt am Sonntag in Berlin, as Chief Sports Editor before returning to Sport-Bild as Deputy Editor in 2002.
